The Holiday Park has 10 self-contained cabins, 3 of which are disability accessible, 20 powered sites, 16 unpowered sites with a fully equipped camp kitchen, all on 5 beautiful acres of land adjoining the Snowy River. We have BBQ facilities, a drying room for the skiers in winter, a dedicated disability accessible bathroom, and we’re pet friendly.

Most people stay for a week and feel as if they have relaxed as well as seen a number of different things in the area. We have a year-round special: if you stay for 7 nights, you only pay for 6, whether you are camping or in a cabin!

Yes, we often host visitors in the winter looking for well priced accommodation within easy reach of Thredbo and Perisher. We’re approximately 40 minutes away from the snow fields.

Up to 5 people. Each cabin has a double bed and then there are different bed configurations, depending on need. Drop us a note or give us a call with your requirements.

All bed linen, doonas and blankets are provided, just have to bring your own personal towel. These are available for hire if required.

We have 20 powered sites that generally measure 10 metres by 7 metres. There’s plenty of room - you won’t feel like you’re rubbing shoulders with your neighbours!

Yes you can. There is a small kitchenette with a frypan, toaster, kettle and microwave. Just outside the cabins there is a free undercover BBQ as well.

Yes, we have gas heating.

Yes! We are pet friendly. Animals are not allowed in the cabins. We have a cabin with a kennel and run that is in the shade all day.

Local area and location

It will take you approximately 40 minutes driving time to get to the ski slopes. The roads are quiet, picturesque and in good condition.

It will take you approximately 20 minutes driving time to get to Jindabyne.

Canberra is approximately 1.5 hours driving time,. Depending on what side of Sydney you are coming from it’s about 5 hours of driving time.

No, the closest is Berridale 15 minutes away. Nearest Supermarket is in Jindabyne a 25 minutes drive.

Berridale is 15kms away and has a service station.

Yes, all main roads in and out of Dalgety are sealed. There are some great local drives on sealed and unsealed roads we can tell you about so you can get a greater appreciation of the area.

The Holiday Park is a 10 metre walk to the lovely Snowy River. On the bank nearest to us you can see platypus feeding, go fishing, or simply relax with a picnic and enjoy the incredible scenery.

Things to do around the Snowy River

We have a country pub that is open Wednesday to Sunday that does meals 7 days a week; a café that can cater for groups at night as well as lunches; a restaurant just across the bridge that does brunch and lunches on weekends and will cater for groups; and a Brewery/Vineyard that is open Wednesday – Sunday. Yes! The Snowy Monaro region is well known for fantastic fishing.
You’ll find fishing tackle shops in many towns across the region, including Tumut, Tumbarumba, Cooma, Jindabyne and Adaminaby, the home of the Big Trout, one of Australia’s ‘iconic big things’.

Yes, very safe for swimmers of all levels.

There’s so much to do! Activities range from adventurous - trekking, skiing, horse riding - to sedate - historic touring, wineries - to family friendly - cycling, bush walking and sightseeing.
