FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Is Linen provided?

All bed linen, doonas and blankets are provided, just have to bring own personal towel. These are available for hire if required.

How far is it to the ski slopes from the park?

It will take you 40minutes to get to the ski slopes.

Can I bring my dog/cat/bird/horse?

Yes we are pet friendly, animals are not allowed in the cabins. We have a cabin with a kennel and run that is in the shade all day.

Is there a shop in town?

We have a café/nursery/post office in town that has emergency supplies but no large supermarket. The closest is 20minutes away.

Where can we eat?

We have a country pub that does meals 7 days a week, café that can cater for groups at night as well as lunches, a restaurant just across the bridge that has lunches on weekends and will cater for groups and a Brewery/Vineyard that is open Wednesday – Sunday.

Can I get petrol?

Berridale is 15kms away has petrol not Dalgety.

How many people can sleep in the cabins?

Up to 5 people. Each cabin has a double bed and then there are different bed configurations, depending on need.

Are the roads sealed?

Yes, all main roads in and out of Dalgety are sealed. There are some great drives in the area on sealed and unsealed roads that we can tell you about so you can get a greater appreciation of the area.

Is there fish in the Snowy River?

Yes.

How far is the Snow River from the Holiday Park?

The Holiday is a 10metre walk to the lovely Snow River where you can enjoy the relaxing environment with a beverage of your choice.

Is the Snowy River safe to swim in?

Yes very.

How long does it take to get to Jindabyne?

About 20 minutes.

How long to drive from Sydney / Canberra?

Canberra is about a 1.5hour drive. Depending on what side of Sydney you are coming from but about 5 hours.

Can I cook in the cabins?

Yes you can there is a small kitchenette with a frypan, toaster, kettle and microwave. Just outside the cabins there is a free undercover BBQ as well.

How many Powered Sites do you have?

20 powered sites that generally measure 10 metres by 7 metres so plenty of room and you will not feel like you are in a can of sardines.

Is there heating in the cabins?

Yes we have gas heating.

What is there to do in the area?

Lots, depending on the time of the year that you are visiting. Our Holiday Park is a very central place for touring the area, we can assist with suggested itinerary for your stay.

How long should I think about staying?

Most people stay 5 nights and feel as if they have relaxed as well as seen a number of different things in the area. Just remember though we have a special all year round “stay 7 nights pay for 6” no matter whether you are camping or in a cabin!!!
